I hope Leverich is dry, Does anyone want to ride the new DH trail on Leverich tomorrow? I wanted to check it out late-morning so I can make the alley cat at 5:30. I was thinking about riding up and sessioning a few of the sections before making a full run.
rode the new DH trail in Leverich yesterday... we rode up the new up-trail and it's mostly dry (but very soft), and the DH trail is free of snow but quite muddy in a few places. rideable and fun, but slip-slidy and you'll get spattered.
History rock is clear some of the way, but a good bit of the top before the crest into South Cottonwood is too snowy to ride and most of the meadows are too muddy to ride responsibly. It's mostly rideable, but the muddy spots are getting slaughtered. This trail may be done for the year.
Thanks for checking out the Bozeman Trail Report Blog. I'm trying this as a quick and easy way for anyone to check the conditions for mountain biking on the trails around Bozeman, Montana. How this works is simple: I'll have a few people who are passionate about riding post what trail they rode on and what the conditions were. Comments are open to anyone. My hope is that enough people will be able to try out enough trails to get a decent idea of the general trail conditions. If you're interested in contributing, drop me an email and I'll set you up. I'll also post notices about events that pertain to trails- trail maintenance dates, access issues, etc. Sound good? I thought so.

I have now heard that the new DH trail is almost totally dry, I'm heading up there now to check it out. I think I'm riding in Helena tomorrow Stevo.

The Helena foothills trails are all dry and in great shape. But they are in Helena.
